Today...
I was so obsessed by that movie. I saw it 27 times in the theater. (Of course I was also really good friends with a guy who worked there, and got in free!!)
I have seen every Star Wars movie since then, but none of them have effected me the way that one did! Of course, it could have just been Harrison Ford.... But I was 10 years old, and he was my first serious crush. (Shawn Cassidy, Leif Garrett, and Scott Baio don't count... Harrison was a REAL man...LOL)
Speaking of real men, today is also the anniversary of the birth of John Wayne(1907). THey just don't make'em like that anymore...

They sure don't make them that way anymore is right! I sure miss ole John. My stepdad has ALL his movies.
Mine was (gasp) Donnie Osmond! Eeek! I'm not sure I should admit to that one! ha. (I was young, very very young) ;o)
I also think Sean Connery was in there somewheres too.
Ah!! "And they call it, puppy love.....: LOL I did the Donny thing too...LOL
Sean Connery is definately on the list!! Sam Elliot is my ultimate, though...
I miss John Wayne, too... So many of the men made in that form are gone now, and so far, the following generations have raised no one to even compare with them!
Dang right. Carrie Fisher did it for me in Return of the Jedi... that li'l suit of hers... [sweating]
Anyway. John Wayne was the coolest man ever. Bruce Willis comes close.
Bruce Willis is pretty cool compared to the other actors of his generation... But what it would take him 30 minutes of bombs, car chases, and lots of blood and smoke to accomplish, John Wayne could do with a look and a six shooter.... LOL
I just about had a cow when I saw Carrie Fisher on television the other night... (I think she was on with Craig Ferguson) She looks ancient! Cool people like that should never age....
I know, they shouldn't. Even the Duke looked bad in The Shootist. Oh well.
I STILL have a crush on Harrison Ford! It never ended! LOL!
magdala~
