...on being mindful...

The man whispered, "God speak to me."
And a meadowlark sang, but the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me."
And the thunder rolled across the sky,
but the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said,
"God let me see you." And a star shone brightly,
but the man didn't not notice.
And the man shouted,
"God, show me a miracle!"
And a new life was born,
but the man did not know.
So the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me, God, and let me know you are there."
Whereupon God reached down and touched the man,
But the man brushed the butterfly away
and walked on.

Seriously, A... this was a very nice, very deep poem that I have printed out. I loved it. Thanks for sharing this with us, hopefully those who read it will pass it on like a ripple in a pond.

I can't seem to find out who wrote it... I would like to give them credit here, but I don't know!

Interesting that you should put this post out on the same day that I put mine out... they're kind of related in a way...

Our minds are linked! That's it!

I like that idea... Isn't that a side effect of friendship? :-)
