I think I am losing it.
I bought a pair of denim Capri pants.
I can hardly believe it myself!! Can a minivan be far behind!?!
My new job is extremely hot. Shorts are not allowed. (I haven’t owned a pair of shorts in 22 years, anyway.) But jeans are so incredibly hot! All the girls wear Capri pants, and flip flops, which they promptly kick off first thing into the rooms, and clean barefoot.
I’m a redneck, what can I say? The thought of working barefoot is amazing to me!
So, I have found a new tattoo place in Dodge City, seen some of their work, and since I can’t get back to The City to have the original artist of my tattoo adjust it, I will see if someone at the Dodge place can copy the lettering. It currently says “Sir’s Love”, his name of course replacing the Word “Sir”. Since I am not that anymore, and still question whether I ever was, (although I will always love him) I want to add one word to the bottom: “Lessons”.
Anyway, I am thinking of getting a tattoo on my ankle, too. Don’t know what yet, ya’ll know me better than anyone, any suggestions? Rick suggested a cross, maybe a Celtic cross of some sort. I just don’t want it to look tribal, and for my ankle I don’t want it to be too big, either. I am not a flowery sort, or butterflies, and definitely not hearts!

Hey Am! Back in the day (when I was young) they called them "peddle pushers" or "clam diggers" depending on where you lived. I had peddle pushers and those canvas tennies that didn't tie up, but not mules. I was thrilled to find that they were making a comeback as "capri" pants! I can wear them to work where jeans would be too hot and shorts just aren't nice enough. I also wear them on cool nights. Here in the South, you can wear jeans about 3 months, then you switch to shorts. Capri's are a good in-between alternative. Good for you! I'm not too sure about the minivan tho. I think you're more of a truck girl, aren't you? Maybe a double cab! LOL!
I thought before that adding the lessons part to your tattoo was a good idea. Isn't it hard to remove one? So that would be out and adding would be better. I've thought about a tattoo, but never could decide on what I wanted on my body for the rest of my life so I never did. Now, my Husband says no to tattoos, but he's in favor of piercing. I have a belly ring, but think that is ALL I plan on having another hole through. I think I'll just stay with what I have.
I'm a truck girl, yes, but also a jeans and cowboy boots girl... Around here, capri pants are for minivan driving soccer mom types, girly girl stuff, ya know?
I have always wanted to have my nose pierced... Don't know if I ever will or not, I don't know if it's worth $50!
Am - You don't know how sexy it is that you work barefoot! Seriously. As far as tatts, you really oughtta soulsearch and find the right one that comes to you! You're gonna have it for a long time. But you know what's totally hot? An ankle bracelet! Totally hot.

I do wear an ankle bracelet, I haven't taken it off in over a year. It's a thin figaro sterling silver chain. :-)
My toenails are also always painted, almost always a marilyn Monroe Red...LOL
