Birthday present - for myself
I have loved this picture for a long time... And I finally broke down and bought it for myself, for my birthday. It's "The Crystal Ball", by John Waterhouse, and it is even more beautiful in person... Even though it's just a print. It now has center stage on the main wall in my room, and I love it...

happy solar return- it is interesting that you also like waterhouse..i have many of his reproductions myself.you should check out the one of the lady casting a circle. i have it above my altar.. and also i have this one however the original has a skull on the table...hmmm. many blessings on your special day-

I will have to find the one you are talking about.. I have seem several of his, and I love them all... I wonder why/how the skull was removed from my "version" of this picture? Strange...
We are in the planning stage of renovating our home, and when it comes to decorating, I want the colors and contents of our home to reflect a Waterhouse painting... Dark colors, luxurious fabrics... Magical ambiance...

I have found "the Magic Circle", and I LOVE it! I can't find it anywhere in affordable poster form, though... The cheapest I can find it is $90 in print on canvas form...:(
